What is the difference between Delta-FL Subfloor and Platon Subfloor?
Cosella Dorken's Delta-FL Subfloor and CertainTeed's Platon are similar in that they are both subfloors. Their general specifications are similar in that they are both 6 mm products with greater than 5,000lbs/ psf when installed properly. Both products also have similar flooring limitations in that they will both support wood base snap in system flooring. For installation of carpet or vinyl flooring on top of either subfloor you will need to put down a minimum of a 7/16 inch tongue in groove OSB or plywood. Different manufacturers. Delta-FL is produced by Cosella-Dorken a German company that has it's North American base in Canada. Platon is a CertainTeed product.
